The magic of Leh will beckon you year after year and leave you still wanting more. The moon-like landscapes, desert mountains with splashes of green and snow peaks, monasteries and stupas make you feel far removed from this world. The drive on the mountain roads, along the mighty Indus and the Zanskar, with grazing Yaks, Martens, wild horses, and sheep, and apple and apricot trees.
Arrival at Leh Kushok Bakula Airport. This must be one of the most sensational flights in the world. On a clear day, one side of the aircraft can see the distance between the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, and Gasherbrum. From the other side, you can see Mt. Nun Kun massif, so close that you feel you could reach out and touch it. Upon arrival, you will be met by TIH Representative and transferred to the hotel for check-in. Complete the day with rest and leisure to allow your body to acclimatize to the high altitude. Overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast leave to visit Sham Valley and start sightseeing starting at the Hall Of Fame (Museum Constructed by the Indian Army) near Leh which is worth a visit for every Indian. Post-visit proceed further to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. Nestled deep in the Himalayas, at an altitude of 3600 Mtrs about 22 km from Leh it was constructed in memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. A drive of another 4 km shall take you to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity. As you move ahead from Magnetic Hills, just before Nimmu Village, there comes the Sangam-Confluence Of Two Rivers: the Indus River coming from Tibet (left) and the Zanskar River coming from Zanskar Valley (right). Zanskar River is known for its famous Chadar Trek. Afterward, visit Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa atop the Hill to experience a panoramic view of Leh city and high snow-capped mountains. Later, we drive back to the hotel for dinner. Overnight stay at Leh.
After breakfast drive to Nubra en route, Khardungla is the World’s highest motorable road at 18832 feet above sea level. At Khardungla pass the snow-capped peaks and the mountain views are amazing. The road then passes through a bridge laid on Glacier which finds its way into the Guinness Book of world records, Drive through the Valley which is extremely beautiful for photography. Nubra Valley is the Oasis of Ladakh as you see some colourful trees in this region. Later reach your camp and visit the Sand Dunes if lucky you will get the sight of the Two Hump Bactrian camels, and enjoy time at the Sand Dunes of Nubra valley spread across Hundar Village. Overnight stay at camp.
After breakfast, proceed to the Diskit monastery, which is 515 years old. It is situated on a hilltop giving a panoramic view of the valley. Later walk around the town of Diskit which has a small village market. Giant Buddha statue. Continue on your way to Leh via the same route. Overnight stay in Leh.
Today, bid farewell to your Leh Ladakh with Nubra tour, as you are transferred to Airport in Leh for your onward journey.
