Karnataka is primarily known for its Heritage destinations and its Wildlife/ National Parks. Apart from that, it is also famous for its magical hill stations, spectacular waterfalls, pilgrimage centers and a 320km long coastline dotted with unspoiled beaches.
Bangalore is extremely well-connected by regular flights from Delhi, Mumbai and most other significant cities in India and also has international carriers flowing in and out of Bengaluru International Airport, which is located about 40 kilometers from the main city.
October to April is a good time to visit Karnataka. Winters are the most suitable time to embark on a wildlife safari or attend the grand Mysore Dusshera. Owing to its proximity to the western coast, Karnataka is quite humid during Summer from April to June. While coastal regions are hotter, hill stations are relatively mild. In fact, this is because the right time to visit Karnataka depends on the time of the year and the destination you’re traveling to. Some regions receive heavy rainfall during the monsoon season from July to September. However, if you want to experience trekking in places like Anthargange, or see the picturesque Jog Falls there’s never a better time than the monsoons.
