Itinerary

Day 1 Cochin

Arrive in Cochin, the gateway to God’s Own Country & also known as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea”. Check into your Hotel & later this afternoon you visit the Jewish Synagogue (Closed on Friday & Saturday), and Dutch Palace (Closed on Friday) and end your tour with a visit to the Chinese fishing nets. Evening enjoy the Kathakali Dance Show. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2Munnar

Arrive in Kochi and proceed on a picturesque drive through the countryside of Munnar – one of the most popular hill stations in southern India known for its sprawling tea gardens. On the way visit the Vallara and Cheeyappara waterfalls and Blossom Garden. Overnight Stay at Hotel.

Day 3Munnar

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for sightseeing of Munnar covering Eravikulam National Park (15 km) to view the endangered wild goat ‘Nilgiri Tahr. (National Park is closed during the breeding season. Please check with us regarding the visit prior to your arrival), Visit Tea Museum (03km) and the Tea factory (Closed on Mondays and Good Fridays), Mattupetty Dam (13km) and Kundala Lake (28km). Overnight Stay at Hotel.

Day 4Thekkady

Transfer to Thekkady pleasant heaven on earth for those who love nature in its wild manifestations. Spices are found in abundance in Periyar. On arrival check-in at Hotel & later enjoy a Boat Ride at Periyar Lake on your own where you get a chance to see the star of the show in Periyar is the herd of elephants that descend down to the lake, other intriguing and rare species of animals dwelling in the sanctuary include the Sambar Deer, Nilgiri Tahr, Wild Pigs, Nilgiri Langur, the highly endangered Lion-tailed Macaque, Small Travancore Flying Squirrel, Stripe-Necked Mongoose, Nilgiri Marten and if lucky even a Tiger.

Day 5 Kumarakom

After early breakfast, check out of the Hotel at Thekkady and go for the Spice Plantation Tour which will last for an hour spice tour to view the plantations of a wide variety of spices like cardamom, pepper, tea, coffee, cloves, ginger, turmeric, cumin seed, etc. & on arrival at Kumarakom visit the nearest Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary to view the Rare Migratory Bird “Siberian Star crane” and later proceed to Kumarakom / Alleppey/Vayalar famous for its backwater stretch. On arrival check-in at the Hotel & Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight Stay at Hotel.

NOTE: If the stay is in Alleppey/Vayalar the Bird Sanctuary will not be given & if required there will be a supplement applicable.

Day 6 Kovalam

The itinerary for today is to drive to Kovalam/Poovar, one of the most idyllic tourist destinations with age-old black rocks, towering palms, sands, and gentle waves. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7Kovalam

AM: Visit Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple (16 km) which is a 16th-century temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is the most impressive landmark of the city. Visit Trivandrum Zoo, Sree Chitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum – (16km) (Closed on Mondays, Wednesdays, Govt Holidays, Visiting time: 1.00 PM to 4.45 PM), Science and technology museum (Closed on Mondays), etc. Enjoy the sunset in the evening while relaxing on the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel. Note: The distance mentioned in KM is from the City Centre to the sightseeing spots.

Day 8 Kanyakumari

On this morning’s, you will arrive at Kanyakumari, the Land’s End of India or the point where the three seas meet, giving you a spectacular view of Sunrise & Sunset in the enchanting Kanyakumari. Visit Vivekananda Rock, Wax Museum, Gandhi Mandap & Suchindram Temple with exquisite sculptures & musical pillars dedicated to Brahma, Vishnu & Shiva. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9Thiruvananthapuram

Check-out at hotel to depart for Trivandrum airport/railway station for onward journey.
